Date: 23th December 2016

Time: 09:00-17:00

Venue: Sai Kung - Ham Tin Wan

Aims: To train team members strength & Team Building

The third in our series of fitness exercise was a hike at the Ham Tin Wan, which is a beautiful beach between Tai Long West Beach and Pak Tam Au. We reached the place after going a constant uphill for 2 hours but the descent has proved to be an even harder workout, a nonstop downward sloping. There is no flat ground can take a rest. It brings pressure on knees and calf muscle, the pain was excruciating and burning. Our country walk was well rewarded by the Ham Tin Wan's fantastic landscape!

We thought the moist and muggy environment at the road of MacLehose Trail give us a hint of what the extreme weather might be like in Heilongjiang as some of us were undressed and felt dizzy. Also, it  remind us there must be variation beside of our extrapolation and imagination of the cold weather in Heilongjiang, which we would only find it out when we landed. It still did stimulate a good deal of preparation by our Research and Logistics Team to incorporate safety precautions in our field trip schedule. Fortunately, they have designed contingency plan and look for alternative solutions for possible emergencies or unexpected events happen.

Reflection

Chang Ka Wai,Kary

Being one of the participants, I felt that country trail is difficult than that of hiking 1. Since there are many small and steep slope, it needed persistent and teamwork to  support others. Through this hiking, I think that challengers are adapting the hardness and well-trained.

Partly agree there are well-organized. It did well in time-management and following the rundown strictly. It did fairly in practicing the gestures as few gestures can be seen and reminded the others. In addition, the time of fall in was quite slow which can be accepted.

Chau Chi Shing, Steve

I think the hiking two is difficult which is hard to finishBut it also helps me to become much healthier. It is a good chance for me to form a network with the other members in HLJ challenge. We overcome the hiking 2 together, we know how to keep the formation of our

team which may make all the members safe. This hiking also helps me to practice teamwork. It is a good event for me to learn more in the communication skill areas. I think the meeting point of hiking 2 can be meet in the mtr station rather than the bus station. As it is not

friendly to people who is not close to the hiking place.  The views of this hiking is very good which make me take many photos. The organisers know well of their hiking line, they know where they are going and how to get back to the city. But in the least section of the hiking

changed the line of this hiking is bad which add more distance of this hiking but no worth rewards.

Chan Ka Hei, Anderson

I think Hiking 2 was a sucessful event. Comparing toHiking 1, Hiking 2 was a pure hiking event. The trail wasa bit tough, but the views along was excellent. Not much big issues was encountered. The PM of Hiking 2 and the organizers really did a great job in organising the event. The design of the hiking path was fine. We can practice our team formation, as well as to try out a more different path, similar to the environment of HLJ. For improvements, I believe the awareness of participants can be further improved, which allows "fall in" to be

faster.
