Day 4 !! Warm in cold weather !!

On the second day of the snow sculpture contest, most of the competitors almost finished their snow sculpture, but we still got a half way to go. We kept cheering as worked until 12:30 am and returned to the hostel for a rest. We believe we will finish it tomorrow!

home visit team A Today we visited Harbin local family and prepared some Hong Kong special snacks and drinks for them, for example, milk tea, hot chocolate and Ovaltine. We also helped to prepare a HEU themed mean for all of us. Mr. Lee discuss the topics which were about the Chinese taxation and insurance environment. For us, this is a valuable lesson because it enhanced our acknowledge of China economy

home visit team b The family member picked us up at the bus stop and we went shopping for ingredients that were needed to make the dumplings. They were very welcoming as they treated us like their own family. Later, few of the group member went out with one of the family member to do extra shopping for the side dishes. The interesting part of this home visit was actually making the dumplings as it was first time for many students to make one, and it turned out to be edible!

HEU shipbuilding museum Chinese shipbuilding development keeps on improving. For the material aspect, ranging from wood, aluminum to titanium alloy, the hardnesses of the raw materials increase and become more durable. The museum showed different types of ships, like warships, ambulance ships and cargo ships. There were many models of submarines, especially the latest model, Twisted Dragon No.8, it broke the world record in diving. We learned a lot of shipbuilding and understood how it influenced the war result along with the advanced technology and personnel who expertised in these areas.

International Student Ball The international Student Ball (ISB) was jointly organised by us and Harbin Engineering University(HEU). The atmosphere of singing part of ISB was nice, both us and HEU were forming a circle and singing together. The part of dancing was not only teaching and presenting exchange can build up the relationship between us and our buddies, and also pumping the ISB to the climax . The Chinese crosstalk drama which are held by HEU student was interesting and deepening our knowledge about the character Chinese tradition. After this event, the relationship between us and buddies is closer, It was an unforgettable memory for all of us.
